Placa Reil, Barcelona, Spain

Title: "Plaça Reial, Barcelona, Spain"

Plaça Reial (The Royal Square) is one of many gems of Barcelona, popular with bars and restaurants frequently visited by tourists. Located just of La Rambla, the square occupies the site of a monastery of the Capuchin order. It was laid out in 1848 by the architect Francisco Daniel Molina and it has been remodelled on several occasions. The Font de Les Tres Gràcies (either Fountain of the three Graces or Fourntain of the three Happinesses) is in the middle of the square, with two lamp posts designed by the young Antonio Gaudí himself. There are many cafe where you can sit around as well and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful Plaça graced with many tall palm trees.
